I was born on Bloomsday, but I’ve never done the traditional Bloomsday walk on June 16th. The areas are lovely; I may walk it myself when I get back.

When I was in Dublin this summer I dropped by the James Joyce Center (www.jamesjoyce.ie) and picked up a Joycen guide to Dublin. This was a map of Dublin with the route that Bloom takes in Ulysses marked out, along with quotes from the book. Starting on Eccles st, with the map and a copy of Ulysses in had I was able to spend a day �walking� the book. It was a great way to see the city and avoid the tourist areas.

Yep, Kevin Street flats sounds about right, or somewhere between there and the Liberties.

Scary stuff! But probably not that dangerous, really, as long as they didn’t hang around long enough to eventually become a mugging target ;)

I’m more worried by that ‘White Power’ graffiti….
