James, that's great--thanks for the link. From an Irish guy in Brooklyn, no less.

Sal may have seen action in Korea, but I wonder what he'd make of this place . . .

Thanks!

Mark, the podcasting thing is hard, and I need to do some work to understand it better and simplify the steps. But it's fun, so I probably will get more stuff out there (fulfilling my fantasies of being a radio essayist).

Terri, Rick tells me he gave you a hard time for your previous, um, punchy suggestions in this space, so probably all for the best. I will tell you that Tim looks like a good successor to Sal, and could see him turning out the same at eightyish. Chasing young women and taking in strays.

Dervala, Sal sounds like one of those hard to find people who truly gives of themselves, with no expectation of anything in return. With all the healing he offers, it makes me wonder how Tim fits into such a hard luck motley crew. I could make some punchy suggestions but will reserve those.

Your writing is wonderful - thank you.
I still agree with the earlier poster (person not paper) that this would sound fantastic and that you'd have a dedicated pod-cast audience. But I'm just being greedy :-)
