		<description>I followed your "sheep worrying" link to your reminiscences about RTE. I should point out that RTE2 opened in 1978 (not 1980). 
More importantly :-), "Wanderly Wagon" had been going for probably a decade at that point (I hated it but, as a teenager, I was clearly not its target audience). 
You must have watched WW in the 70s (or am I overestimating your age? :-), since Limerick only had RTE at that point. 
I grew up on the East Coast but was in "one-channel land" to all intents and purposes as my father refused to get the antenna on the rooftop that would have enabled us to watch English channels (including Harlech!). Maybe he did the right thing. Seven kids fighting over which channel to watch, in the days before remote controls, would probably have gotten physical pretty quickly.
