		<description>Wow -- what a great piece! I stumbled across your site from some google listing on CSS and then noticed your chicken postings -- which are a sweet subject for us. My wife and I moved to a farm just a year ago with sheep, goats and chickens. We've seen more birth and death and happiness and frustration in this year than we could have ever imagined -- and so much of it was summed up in your Helen the Chicken posting. Thank you very much for sharing it.</description>

		<description>I am so sorry.  Just because they are chickens doesn’t mean you can’t grow attached to them.  My girls definitely knew something was different when the first rooster (Dora) left the coop; when the second one left (Big Daddy), they just clucked around the run looking for their friend.  Even if Big Daddy did pound them into the dirt and they hated it, it’s taken awhile for the girls to settle into a new routine.</description>
